Facilitators at CUR institutes typically make one or more presentations in a content area of the institute and work with small groups to facilitate the development of the product of the institute (i.e. a strategic plan, proposal etc). Facilitators assist and coordinate with the coordinator of the institute in developing presentation materials, handouts and other aspects of the institute curriculum. Facilitators are expected to follow the established curriculum of the institute as well as bring their own particular expertise. They may participate in conference calls prior to and after the institute to plan and then evaluate the institute. They may also participate, if asked by the coordinator, in the selection of participants for the institute. In some cases, facilitators may be asked to do some follow up activities with institute participants.
